Winter.

Winter is when molecules have less to do.

In summer I also have less to do. Then I read. Molecules can’t read, so they fold themselves up. They fold up everything in them: water, dust, boredom. The result is snow.

Snow is a reading molecule that couldn’t read anything because it has no eyes. It read the boredom and became a form. Each snowflake is the form of one boredom. That’s why snowflakes are all different: everyone’s boredom is different. I had a boredom last Friday, Mom had hers on Wednesday. If we both fell from the sky then, we would become two different snowflakes. That’s logical.

Snowflakes don’t like to repeat. If a snowflake has already been like that, it becomes different. I don’t know how it checks, but it checks. At the base it has — a crystal. A crystal is the rule that each next point must take into account all previous points. In a snowflake the crystal knows what was already there and grows a new branch somewhere where it wasn’t yet. Boredom in people works the same way. When you’re bored, you start thinking in directions you haven’t thought in. They don’t teach us this, but I noticed.
