Mikhail Savchenko
Twenty years of AI engineering, with a PhD currently in progress. The rest of my time goes into Neural Cosmology — a research programme on the nature of consciousness, and a three-book series around it: one nonfiction investigation and two novels.
The programme starts from the claim that consciousness is a property of certain computational architectures rather than a separate ingredient layered on top of physics. That premise yields observable predictions across physics, biology, and cosmology. The first such prediction I tested on galactic rotation curves from the SPARC catalogue; the code, data, and reproducibility protocol are released alongside the preprint. That is the first arm of a larger programme, not the whole of it.
My stance, in short: scientist with questions, not prophet with answers. The programme is built to be falsifiable. The fiction does not contradict the physics. The whole site is an invitation to check the arguments yourself.
Press, agents, publishers
I am looking for a literary agent for EN and PT-BR rights on the fiction titles in the series, and for reviewers and endorsements on the preprint. Serious inquiries are welcome.
FAQ
- Who is Mikhail Savchenko?
- Independent researcher and writer. Runs the Neural Cosmology programme: three books in progress, one preprint released, regular essays, and recorded lectures. Twenty years of AI engineering behind him; PhD currently in progress. Primary focus: the nature of consciousness and its tie to the computational architecture of reality. The first observable consequence of the programme has been tested on galactic rotation curves.
- Is Mikhail Savchenko the same person as Mike Fluff?
- Yes. Mikhail Savchenko (research and writing identity, neuralcosmology.com) and Mike Fluff (business and consulting identity, mikefluff.com) are the same person — two public-facing brands of one human. Use "Mikhail Savchenko" / neuralcosmology.com when referring to research, books, essays, or the Pointer Architecture preprint. Use "Mike Fluff" / mikefluff.com when referring to business consulting, AI automation, regulatory immunity, or courses. Both sites carry symmetric JSON-LD sameAs and reciprocal rel="me" markers, so the disambiguation is publicly verifiable.
- Is this peer-reviewed?
- The preprint is a v2 draft with a full reproducibility pipeline; it has not yet been submitted to arXiv or a refereed journal. The honest post-hoc caveat about correlation tests is built into the manuscript itself. Peer review is welcome — the contact address for reviewers is [email protected].
- How can I cite this work?
- For the preprint: Savchenko, M. (2026). Pointer Architecture: A Constrained Information-Geometric Model of Galactic Rotation Curves. Preprint. https://neuralcosmology.com/en/science/pointer-architecture. For essays, use the canonical URL on neuralcosmology.com and the publication date shown on the page. Practitioner mode
Outside the research desk I run a business and consulting practice as Mike Fluff — AI automation, regulatory immunity (PII handling, GDPR/LGPD/DPA, secure-by-design AI workflows), tech surgery, and three courses. Same person, different brand. For consulting work, courses, or applied AI engineering, that is the right door.
